Aim NationaLease is one of the multi-million dollar companies that is leasing trucks to Stericycle, the nation’s leading medical waste disposal company. Stericycle utilizes the trucks to service its clients, which includes abortion facilities nationwide. After boxes and/or bins of aborted babies and the items used in killing them are loaded onto the trucks, Stericycle transports them to their incineration plants, where they are burned to ash along with tons of medical garbage.

Stericycle depends entirely upon leased trucks to facilitate its collection routes. Consequently, those who supply vehicles to Stericycle are enabling the medical waste giant to collaborate with those who collectively destroy thousands of lives each day.

Aim NationaLease trucks have been documented being used by Stericycle to haul abortion “waste” in Colorado and Illinois. CSS has contacted Aim NationaLease president and owner Thomas Fleming on numerous occasions regarding Stericycle’s use of his company’s trucks to assist abortionists; however, he has refused to stop Stericycle from utilizing his trucks to service the abortion industry. Nonetheless, CSS is confident that public outcry can make a tremendous impact. Because of the efforts of CSS and the outrage the public, Penske Truck Leasing, Inc. and Ryder System, Inc. have both prohibited Stericycle from using their trucks to assist abortionists “in any way, shape or form.” Idealease affiliates are beginning to also do the same.

“It takes a village to kill a child,” campaign director Michael Marcavage stated. “It is shameful that Aim NationaLease and its president Thomas Fleming continue to allow Stericycle to use their trucks to assist those that murder children. As we speak out against this atrocity in Ohio, we will again implore Aim NationaLease to have the ethical fortitude to choose morals over money, and to immediately discontinue this appalling alliance,” he added. “Aim NationaLease and Stericycle will remain subject to public resistance until they stop furthering the abortion holocaust in America,” Marcavage concluded.

According to its website, Aim NationaLease is “one of the largest vehicle leasing companies in the United States” and has 38 corporate branch offices across the nation, as well as over 500 franchise affiliates in America and Canada. Aim NationaLease leases vehicles to companies both large and small, including the medical waste giant Stericycle, which uses the trucks to service its collection routes.

Many of Stericycle’s routes involve pickup at abortion facilities, including a reported 586 Planned Parenthood locations, such as Planned Parenthood in Denver, Colorado, which is the second largest abortion facility in the nation. Stericycle had been using a truck from another leasing company, an Idealease affiliate, to assist the Denver location until it stopped Stericycle from doing so. The medical waste giant then turned to Aim NationaLease and began using their truck to collect the abortion “waste.” Aim NationaLease trucks have also been seen being used by Stericycle at abortion facilities in Granite City, Illinois and Newport News, Virginia. After the boxes and bins are collected, they are transported to one of the company’s incineration plants, where they are burned into ash along with tons of medical garbage.

Stericycle relies almost entirely upon leased trucks to service its collection routes, and consequently, those who supply trucks to Stericycle are enabling the company’s collaboration with those who collectively destroy thousands of lives every day. Although CSS has contacted Aim NationaLease president Thomas Fleming about its concerns regarding Stericycle’s use of his company’s trucks to collect abortion “waste,” he has not been willing to listen.

Last year, Ryder System, Inc. stopped Stericycle from using its trucks to assist abortionists “in any way, shape or form” and the year prior, Penske Truck Leasing, Inc. vowed, “We have been, and you have my word that we will continue to be, proactive in stopping Stericycle from using our trucks to service abortion clinics.” Idealease affiliates are also beginning to stop Stericycle from using their trucks to collect abortion “waste.”

“The callous indifference that Aim NationaLease has displayed regarding Stericycle’s use of their trucks to transport aborted babies and the items used in killing them is shameful. It is equally unconscionable how the company continues to willingly partake of the blood money that Stericycle pockets from assisting abortionists,” campaign director Michael Marcavage stated. “We urge Aim NationaLease to have the moral and ethical fortitude to follow the lead of Penske and Ryder by immediately stopping Stericycle from using its trucks to service abortionists,” he added. “All trucking companies that knowingly provide resources to Stericycle in furtherance of the abortion holocaust will be met with public resistance. We encourage citizens to make their voice heard to the management of Aim NationaLease until they clean up their act,” Marcavage concluded.

Elkton, MD

Brigham owns a known 18 abortion facilities, most of which go by the name of “American Women’s Services,” and advertises locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia. His license was revoked in New York and Florida; he surrendered his license in Pennsylvania, and allowed his license to expire in Georgia and California due to the government’s concerns about his conduct. Brigham is known for his attempts to evade New Jersey law, which prohibits second trimester abortions outside of a hospital or licensed ambulatory center, by injecting poison into the baby’s heart, then directing patients to an out-of-state location to have the dead baby surgically extracted.

Most recently, Brigham had his license suspended in New Jersey for engaging in another out-of-state abortion scheme. Much like past violations, he administered the injection at his Voorhees, New Jersey location, and then had patients drive to a “secret” location called “Grace Medical Care” an hour away in Elkton, Maryland to have the baby removed. Brigham holds no medical license in Maryland.

In August 2010, investigators raided Brigham’s Elkton facility after police were contacted by an 18-year old girl who had been hospitalized after an abortion that ended the life of her 21-week old baby turned awry. Weeks after the last collection stop of the medical “waste” company Stericycle, investigators found 35 late-term babies in Brigham’s chest freezer and took the bodies to be examined. Records show that on some occasions, up to six late-term abortions were performed in a day.

On December 28th, 2011, after a lengthy investigation, a Grand Jury leveled five counts of first-degree murder, five counts of second-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder against Brigham, who was then taken into custody. Nicola Riley, a contracted abortionist that performed the botched procedure on the 18-year old, was also arrested and charged with one of each felony count.

Through an independent investigation conducted by CSS, it was discovered that Stericycle stopped servicing Brigham’s “secret” late-term abortion facility after it was raided by police. However, Stericycle has been and continues to collect abortion “waste” from numerous other locations owned by Brigham. It services all of Brigham’s abortion facilities in Maryland, as well as a location in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Virginia Beach, Virginia.

“Stericycle’s willing collaboration with abortionist Steven Brigham is sickening and indefensible, and the company is equally as culpable for aiding him in his evil deeds,” CSS director Michael Marcavage stated. “During the Nuremburg Trials of the 1940′s, those who aided the Nazis in carrying out the Jewish Holocaust were considered to be accessories to murder and were held accountable by the courts. Likewise, Stericycle’s executives and employees are accessories to Brigham’s empire of death in the abortion holocaust,” he added. “We again call upon Stericycle to immediately stop servicing the abortion industry and to put morals over money. Stericycle President Charles Alutto and CEO Mark Miller should be ashamed of their company’s involvement with abortionists. Perhaps one day they will be brought to justice, and if it be not in this life, they will be held accountable by God,” Marcavage concluded.

According to Grand Jury documents, Stericycle was found last year to have collected “waste” from notorious abortionist Kermit Gosnell, who is also facing murder charges and a string of other criminal counts. The Philadelphia District Attorney’s office called Gosnell’s abortion facility a “house of horrors” as numerous babies were found in the freezer. Stericycle had serviced Gosnell until he stopped paying his bills.

Stericycle was also recently fined over $42,000 for illegally dumping aborted babies into a landfill in the state of Texas. Stericycle is quoted in government documents as stating that “boxes of waste containing fetuses and/or tissue should be sent for incineration.”

In partnership with the States of Refuge project, the campaign visited Jackson, Mississippi last month to investigate Stericycle’s service to Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which has been the only abortion provider in the state for several years. Statistics indicate that well over 2,000 babies are murdered annually at this location. Mississippi is one of five states that have one remaining abortion facility, and States of Refuge is working in concert with pro-life groups across the country to make these the first abortion-free states in the nation.

While conducting investigative work and observing Stericycle collecting boxes of abortion “waste” from Jackson Women’s Health Organization, CSS learned that the truck being used for the route was leased from an Idealease affiliate in Louisiana and maintained by another affiliate in Mississippi. The campaign sent letters to both affiliates to notify them that Stericycle was using the truck to service an abortionist. CSS also noted that the truck transported the boxes from Jackson Women’s Health Organization to Stericycle’s processing plant in Canton.

Additionally, as it was discovered that Stericycle employees Gregory Bouldin and Travaris Grace take turns servicing the collection route that includes Jackson Women’s Health Organization, CSS left a note and a “Where Have All the Children Gone?” brochure at Bouldin’s home to urge him to stop servicing the abortion facility. Bouldin called the campaign later that evening in anger, but not about the plight of the unborn. Instead, he justified his actions because he was concerned about his bills and demanded $100,000, turning down an offer by the campaign to help him find a better job.

As a result of the campaign’s efforts, General Manager Eric Fite of Tri-State Trucks of Memphis, Tennessee, which owns Idealease of Jackson, assured CSS that his company will no longer provide maintenance on the vehicle. Fite stated that the company was not aware that Stericycle was using the truck to collect abortion “waste.”

Scott Schilling, the president of Idealease affiliate International Trucks of Acadiana (ITA), which is currently leasing the vehicle to the medical waste giant, kindly thanked the campaign for the letter and stated that he would look into the matter, but did not express any concern over Stericycle using his company’s truck to haul “waste” for abortionists.

Stericycle depends entirely upon leased trucks to service its collection routes, many of which include abortion facilities. Penske Truck Leasing, Inc. and Ryder System, Inc. have both stopped Stericycle from using their trucks to assist abortionists, and Idealease affiliates are also beginning to do their same. Recently, Ward Idealease and McCandless Idealease informed CSS that Stericycle will no longer be permitted to use their trucks to service the abortion industry.

Following its investigation, CSS contacted the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) regarding possible permit violations committed by Stericycle, and they have agreed to investigate the matter. The campaign will be contacting Governor Haley Barbour to notify him that many state-run institutions are utilizing the abortion collaborator, and to encourage him to recommend pro-life alternatives instead.

Ward Idealease president Bill Ward recently explained to CSS that he first became aware of Stericycle’s collaboration with the abortion industry when supporters of CSS picketed outside of the Idealease Meeting of Affiliates in Chicago last September. He also stated that the informational letter that he received from the campaign weeks ago was instrumental in his decision to prohibit Stericycle from using his trucks to service abortionists. Unbeknownst to Ward, Stericycle had been utilizing his Idealease trucks to assist two abortion facilities: one in Florida and the other in Alabama. However, Stericycle is now not permitted to utilize the company’s trucks from any of its three locations in Mobile, Alabama, Pensacola, Florida and Tallahassee, Florida to facilitate the abortion holocaust in any way. In fact, when CSS spoke with Ward about Stericycle’s use of his trucks to collect abortion “waste,” he responded, “Not with our trucks!”

In another victory for the preborn and the Campaign to Stop Stericycle (CSS), a medical waste company in Central Florida has decided to distance itself from the abortion industry.

John Barros, a pro-life sidewalk counselor from the Orlando area, recently reported to CSS that Advanced Medical Disposal of Clearwater, Florida made their last service stop to the Orlando Women’s Center. CSS had been alerting the public about Advanced Medical Disposal as they were listed on the CSS website as an abortion collaborator. The campaign also contacted management earlier this year about their concerns over the company’s partnership with the abortion provider. Advanced Medical Disposal’s involvement with Orlando Women’s Center then began to adversely affect the company’s business.

Orlando Women’s Center had previously used the medical waste giant Stericycle for the disposal of aborted babies and the tools used to kill them (see CSS photos posted on March 20, 2010), but for unknown reasons, Stericycle stopped servicing the location. Advanced Medical Disposal then entered into an agreement with the abortion facility and began assisting with the collection of the “waste.”

However, two weeks ago, Advanced Medical Disposal made known that it was not going to renew its agreement with Orlando Women’s Center. Barros reports that during the last visit, the driver informed him, “We’re not coming here anymore,” and that abortion staff had been begging the company to continue to service them, but that it declined to do so. John then asked the driver if he could pray for him, and then layed hands on him and prayed.

It has been reported that Orlando Women’s Center is currently unable to find a company that will pick up their “waste.” As a result, CSS has filed a formal complaint against the facility over concerns regarding the potential stockpiling of aborted babies and other biohazardous waste on the premises due to their lack of a medical waste service provider. The goal of the campaign is to lead to the closure of abortion facilities due to their inability to operate legally.

Orlando Women’s Center has been in the news on several occasions for its unlawful practices, including the well-known Baby Rowan case, in which staff members ignored cries for help from a mother who gave birth to a baby boy in the restroom, leaving him to die. The abortion facility is owned by notorious abortionist James Pendergraft, who also oversees four other locations in Florida. Pendergraft has had his “medical” license suspended four times, has been fined tens of thousands of dollars and was forced to pay over $36 million this year in a botched abortion case. Since he has been punished for performing illegal late-term abortions in Florida, Pendergraft recently decided to open a new late-term abortion facility in the Washington, D.C. tri-state area.

Without the help of medical waste companies, the abortion industry would collapse. CSS has been exhorting several companies to stop furthering the holocaust of the preborn. The campaign promises to continue to expose and reprove all medical waste service providers that facilitate the evils of abortion, and is thankful that Advanced Medical Disposal has ended its collaboration with the abortion industry.

AUSTIN, Texas – The Campaign to Stop Stericycle (CSS) has learned that the medical waste giant Stericycle has been fined over $42,000 for the illegal dumping of aborted babies collected from an abortion facility in Austin.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has released documents showing that Stericycle has been served with papers by the Enforcement Division, which slam the company with $42,612 in fines for illegally dumping the fetal remains of aborted babies into a municipal landfill. Stericycle has paid $34,090 in a lump sum, and the remainder has been waived contingent upon their future compliance with the law. Click here to view the documents served upon Stericycle from TCEQ.

Stericycle’s violations were first discovered in April after an initial investigation was conducted into Whole Women’s Health in Austin. Click here to read the news release on the investigation. While Stericycle told the government that its policy is to incinerate fetal remains, it was found that the “waste” service had been autoclaving, or steam treating the aborted babies, and then dumping their bodies into a municipal solid waste landfill with household and commercial trash, which is unlawful under the Texas Administrative Code.

Although Stericycle has been denying that it accepts aborted fetal remains for disposal, the information that company representatives provided to the government confirmed the truth.

“I contacted Mr. Joel Barr, Stericycle Austin Autoclave Facility Manager, to inquire about the treatment and disposal methods for fetuses. Mr. Barr informed me that medical waste containing fetuses or tissue should be sent for incineration. … The facility representatives informed me that boxes of waste containing fetuses and/or tissue should be sent for incineration at the Stericycle incinerator in Apopka, Florida. The facility representatives provided me with a copy of their Regulated Medical Waste Acceptance Policy, which they provide to their customers. The facility representatives informed me that Stericycle’s company policy requires medical waste generators to label boxes containing non-autoclavable medical waste with ‘Incinerate Only’ stickers.”

After a violation of the law had been established for the unlawful disposal of fetal remains, the case was sent to TCEQ’s Enforcement Division to decide the appropriate penalty. Whole Woman’s Health of Austin was fined $17,430, which is less than half of what was leveled against Stericycle.

“The large fines slammed against Stericycle demonstrate the severity of its horrifying and egregious actions in treating children like trash,” campaign director Michael Marcavage stated. “However, it is not surprising that these violations occurred since those that are involved with the abortion industry are partakers in its evil deeds. Stericycle’s claims that it is ‘protecting people, reducing risk’ are hypocritical, and businesses should be aware of its unethical practices,” he added. “We again call upon Stericycle to stop facilitating the abortion holocaust and to clean up its act immediately,” Marcavage concluded.

This year, Stericycle was also found to be assisting notorious abortionist Kermit Gosnell, who is now awaiting trial for murder charges. In official court documents released by the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, it was explained that Gosnell’s employees would package the fetal remains for pickup by Stericycle, but that the medical waste giant stopped collecting when the abortionist failed to pay his bills. PHILADELPHIA - Campaign to Stop Stericycle (CSS) has learned that grand jury documents released by the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office in the case of notorious abortionist Kermit Gosnell reveal that the medical waste giant Stericycle had been disposing of fetal remains for Gosnell for many years. The abortionist is facing several counts of murder and an extensive list of other criminal indictments, while several of his staff members have already pled guilty to counts involving the murder of at least two babies and a 41-year old woman.

According to the Grand Jury Presentment, while interviewing Gosnell’s employees for the case, it was discovered that staff were assigned the task of preparing the boxes of aborted babies for Stericycle’s arrival.

“James Johnson, who worked for Gosnell since 2001, testified that his duties included collecting the red biohazard bags of fetal remains and putting them in boxes for pickup by an outside firm, Stericycle.” (Page 32)

The Grand Jury Report, a separate document released by the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, also stated:

Sometimes, according to Tina Baldwin, fetal remains were left out overnight. “You knew about it the next day when you opened the door … Because you could smell it as soon as you opened the door.” According to a plan that Gosnell filed with the Philadelphia Health Department in 2004, waste was to be stored in the basement for once-a-week pickup by a waste disposal company.” (Page 47)

However, the presentment also explained, “Johnson told us that in the last two years, Gosnell did not always pay his Stericycle bills.” Since Stericycle would not collect the abortion “waste” until payment was received, the fetal remains were packed into freezers until Stericycle resumed its cooperation. In fact, the report stated:

“In the interim, and as the search team discovered during the February 18 raid, freezers at the clinic were full of discarded fetuses…” (Page 47)

The grand jury then explained in the presentment that two of the babies that were found in the freezer awaiting pickup by Stericycle included what is being referred to in the case as “Baby Girl A” and “Baby Boy A.” The jury recommended that Gosnell face infanticide charges for the murder of the two babies, in addition to murder charges for several other preborn babies that were discovered on the property. It was also found that Gosnell had a sick fascination for cutting off the feet of some of the babies that he aborted and keeping them in jars, while disposing of the rest of their body.

In recent weeks, several of Gosnell’s employees have pled guilty to charges of third-degree murder by plunging scissors into the necks of infants after inducing labor. The Grand Jury Report states that Gosnell and his staff purposefully killed hundreds of babies in this manner, and that Gosnell often boasted of the size of the babies that he murdered, such as stating that the baby was so large that he or she “could walk [him] to the bus stop.” Some staff members are also charged in the death of a 41-year old woman who was administered fatal amounts of pain killers and anesthesia while undergoing an abortion. They face over one hundred years in prison, while Gosnell faces a possible death sentence.

“Gosnell’s actions are not isolated in the abortion industry. This high-profile case has simply exposed what abortion is all about: the heartless murder of thousands of innocent babies,” campaign director Michael Marcavage stated. “During the Holocaust, businesses that were found to be collaborating with the Nazis by providing their services were found to be just as culpable as the Nazis themselves. Likewise, those who collaborate with the abortion industry, such as Stericycle, have blood on their hands just as much as the abortionists. If Gosnell had kept paying his Stericycle bills, all of this evidence would have been destroyed. Thankfully, his evil has been exposed and Gosnell’s house of horrors has been shut down,” he added. “Stericycle must stop facilitating the abortion holocaust in America and cease enabling those who are killing our nation’s children to stay in business. We will not stop pursuing Stericycle until Stericycle stops servicing the abortion industry,” Marcavage concluded.

Stericycle was also found in April of this year to be collecting and discarding fetal remains from Whole Women’s Health, an abortion facility in Austin, Texas. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) had investigated Stericycle’s Austin branch after learning that they were illegally dumping aborted babies into a municipal landfill. Will you call or write Stericycle today and kindly, but firmly, implore them to stop servicing the abortion industry? You can make a big difference with just a simple phone call or email!

Over the next week, CSS will be mailing an eye-opening letter to the owners of Idealease affiliate offices across the country to expose Stericycle’s collaboration in the abortion holocaust and to urge affiliates not to lease their vehicles to Stericycle for the purpose of servicing abortionists. The letter will include a copy of the CSS brochure, “Where Have All the Children Gone?”

Penske Truck Leasing and Ryder System, Inc. have both prohibited Stericycle from using their trucks to service the abortion industry nationwide. CSS is now urging Idealease, Inc., Stericycle’s current top supplier of leased trucks, to follow their example and stop providing the means for Stericycle to service the abortion industry.
